Founded in 1854, the State Library of Victoria is the State's premier reference and research library and one of the world's great libraries. In addition to books, services, exhibitions and cultural programs, the library features artefacts from Victoria's cultural and social heritage, including John Batman's journal, Ned Kelly's armour and more.

Located nearby between Swanston and Elizabeth Streets, the Bourke Street Mall is a bustling pedestrian-only thoroughfare (but watch for the trams). The Shrine of Remembrance was opened in 1934 in memory of Australians who served in global conflicts throughout nation’s history. It was inspired by a classical architecture and build by veterans of the First World War.

Queen Victoria Market is the largest open-air market in the Southern Hemisphere where you can find fresh meat, fish and dairy products, seasoned fruits and get some lunch. Try your luck and find a treasure among locally-made clothing, jewellery, handcrafts, homewares and souvenirs.

Enjoy this slice of natural beauty located in Western Port. Phillip Island is a nature island full of unique wildlife, tranquil wetlands, and golden sandy beaches and is also home to the Australian Motorcycle Grand Prix. This attraction is approximately a two-hour drive from the hotel, but well worth the time!

The National Gallery of Victoria (NGV) is Australia’s oldest and most visited art museum, based in Melbourne. It features a vast collection spanning international and Australian art, from historic works to contemporary exhibitions, with free general entry.

Melbourne Cricket Grounds (MCG) are the birthplace of Australian Football and Test Cricket was built in 1853 and remains today Australia’s most iconic sporting venue. Nearly four million people per year visit to take in Test matches and AFL (Australian Football League) games. It's also been a top place to catch concerts by stars like Madonna, the Rolling Stones and Michael Jackson.

Ascend nearly 1,000 feet to the top of the iconic Melbourne Skydeck to take in stunning panoramic 360-degree views of Melbourne and beyond. The highest public observation deck in the Southern Hemisphere also features the jaw dropping Edge Experience – a glass-bottomed cube that suspends visitors almost 300 meters above the sidewalk.
